Marianne Buus spent nine years learning glass sculpture in her native Denmark. She travelled to the UK to study in Farnham, and then in the Swedish glass-blowing town of Åfors before doing a degree at the Royal College of Art in London. She was an apprentice to Jan Erik Ritzman and Sven Åke Carlsson. Her work is held in many private and public collections, including The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, and the V&A, London.
