A rising star in the word of ceramics, Kodai Ujiie was born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture in 1990, and graduated advanced studies at the Tohoku University of Art and Design in 2015. Kodai Ujiie creates pieces with complex construction and a unique use of mediums, celadon glaze with a coloured lacquer inlay is an innovative and unique technique that is part of Ujiie’s visual language.
His work is now highly collectable and in demand.
